Meet Jillian Snope, Human Potential Manager, Indigo Health
There’s no question that the health care industry has faced unprecedented challenges and changes over the past couple of years. The COVID-19 pandemic put a spotlight on health care workers across the country – and around the world. Nurses, medical providers and support staff are resilient beyond measure. And they deserve a workplace that celebrates and supports what they do every day.
We recently caught up with Jillian Snope, Indigo Health Human Potential Manager, to chat about how Indigo is working to enhance health care for all – and create a destination workplace for seasoned health care pros and those interested in launching a new career.
Drawn to an impressive team
Snope had been working with MultiCare Health System for just over a year when the opportunity arose in 2020 to support the Indigo Health team. She didn’t hesitate. With her years of human resources experience in finance, aerospace and health care, she knew a winning team when she saw it.
“It was obvious,” Snope said. “Indigo is committed to the communities they serve and determined to transform and innovate the way we all receive accessible health care. I wanted to be a part of that.”
It wasn’t long before she saw the team in action first-hand when her own children needed care. “When I brought them to Indigo, I was so impressed with how easy and quick it was and how friendly and kind the staff were to my family,” she said. “Indigo is true to its brand. It really does deliver simpler and better health care.”
The Indigo Experience
No one wants to have to go to an Urgent Care center, Snope said. But when the need arises, you know Indigo is there to provide convenient, fast and reliable care – in your neighborhood or via your phone or favorite device. And whether you’re treated in person or online, you can expect to feel cared for from that first point of contact. That’s how the Indigo team rolls.
“A great Indigo team member is someone who is kind, has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment,” Snope said. “They definitely have a people-first mindset.”
That feel-good vibe is apparent when you walk in the doors at Indigo, and is a direct reflection of the positive workplace culture, Snope said. “Our goal is to make sure employees feel accepted, supported and recognized as they grow professionally.”
Support for employees and families
COVID-19 has been a challenge for everyone and especially difficult for medical professionals. It’s also been an opportunity to bolster and create sustainable programs that support and nurture Indigo employees and their families.
“The pandemic helped us realize that more than ever we need to create balance for our employees,” Snope said. Indigo team members are invited and encouraged to be a part of new support programs, including Wellness Roundtables, MultiCare Code Lavender Employee Support Services, Employee Assistance Program, Bright Horizons Family Support and Childcare and more.
Join us
Snope urges anyone who is passionate about making health care friendlier, easier and more accessible to join the Indigo team.
“We strive to be a destination workplace and want to grow with our employees,” she said. “And you don’t need to have a background in health care to join our team. There are many openings and development opportunities, both for licensed medical professionals and those looking to enter the health care field.”
