Testing is more important than ever
The COVID-19 vaccine rollout has really picked up steam over the last few months. Washington state is administering 56,000 vaccines a day, millions of Washingtonians have been fully vaccinated and vaccine supplies are growing. That’s something to celebrate, but it doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods.
While the number of fully vaccinated individuals is on the rise, so are the number of COVID-19 cases in several counties across Washington state, and local health officials are concerned about a possible fourth wave.
With spring break travel and a broader reopening of schools and businesses, an even bigger bump in cases is expected.
And it's not just a local concern. Cases continue to rise worldwide due to the COVID variants, which now represent more than 40% of all infections in the U.S.
Rapid testing is more important than ever in the race to trace and stop the spread of COVID-19.
Eligibility and Scheduling
Due to limited supplies and high demand, Indigo rapid COVID-19 tests are prioritized for individuals who:
- Are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills/repeated shaking with chills, new muscle pain, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, runny nose, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea)
To receive a rapid test, schedule an in-person appointment on the Indigo website.
*In certain cases, Indigo clinics may provide rapid testing to people who need a COVID test for travel. The type of test offered (e.g., standard nasal swab test has a turnaround time of 1-2 days) depends on supply availability and is subject to the specific criteria of your travel destination.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still recommends people who have not been vaccinated get a COVID-19 test before and after they travel. Learn more about the CDC’s domestic and international travel recommendations.
To get a travel test at Indigo, first complete a video visit with an Indigo Online Care provider. The provider will then refer you to a nearby Indigo location for the test.
